go but come back–poem

she came here to fly

to an orbit of her own.

from up here in the clouds

it seems all worth it.

the tiny world below can be lived

people can love and hate

but coexist in a way that is okay.

as the air slowly left her

she made her way back.

the tiny world not so tiny anymore.

but larger than ever.

the roots grew from her arms

she branched out.

and fell in love with the breeze.

an unexpected but pleasant surprise.

as confusing and as scary as this world is

a part of her is down for it all.

she decided that the universe was weird

and she couldn’t stop smiling because of it.
